WHEN WILL LANTERNS BEGIN TO APPEAR?

Haven't seen anything about it, but if it has been said before, feel free to leave a comment below. Whether it was from "Arrow", "The Flash", and "Legends"( still an unconfirmed title). If you've heard or read, feel free to educate. But, as for now the question remains, when will Lanterns begin to appear?

During the "Arrow/Flash" crossover earlier in the season, there was a very clear reference to the emotional spectrum. As most fans are aware, Latnerns of all colors get their powers from the spectrum. That episode even had a meta-human who used "rage" as his weapon. Although not an outright "Red Lantern", coupled with the spectrum reference it almost "opens the door" for there to be one.
Sure, there is an almost endless list of characters who some may prefer to see on the small screen. However, the only time we've seen a Lantern of any color in "live action" was in the movie "Green Lantern" (2011). So, it would be somewhat "historic" in a sense. Also, there has only been rumors of a Green Lantern appearing in the current movieverse. Even the rumors can't quite decide on which character to use. Hal? John? Guy? Kyle? Simon? These are just the Green Lanterns, there are of course the other corps of Lanterns. Similar to Marvel's "X-Men", the Lanterns are almost an entire "world" all in itself. And since there seems to be no plans to perhaps give them their own television show, it is almost "needed" for them to begin to appear within the "Arrow/Flash/Legends" tv-verse. Hal Jordan alone has comic book history with both Green Arrow ("Arrow") and The Flash ("The Flash" obviously) so it would be interesting to see their stories unfold on any size screen.

Was hoping that "Supergirl" would be the "alien" show while "The Flash" focused on meta-humans, and "Arrow" on more human based characters. But, it doesn't appear to be that way, so hopefully "Legends" begins to showcase those from other planets. Space is a big part of the DC Comics Universe (not intended, but the pun works), so they should at least begin to expand in that direction. and really, who better to connect earth and space than a Green Lantern from Sector 2814?

THE JOKER NOT GETTING MAD LOVE?

If not for the internet, we wouldn't get to see anything beyond what would be shown on Entertainment Tonight (or something like that). But then, if not for the internet we wouldn't be exposed to so much hate. Unjustified most of the time. There was the Batfleck casting drama, Wonder Woman not being "big enough" type bullshlacka, and this time around even a clown can't get no love.

That's right, the recently revealed photo of Jared Leto as The Joker made its rounds across the web. While some have learned to take a "wait and see" approach to these things, the majority was already predicting failure for "Suicide Squad". That is usually the case though. People scream for change, yet shun new things (approaches).
Is Jared Leto giving us a version of The Joker that is traditional in the visual sense? No, even though his hair and figure is the closes there has been to the comic books version(s). His teeth? It actually makes sense. How many times has Batman knocked out Mr. J's teeth? One would be safe to assume that The Joker would want to "change them up" every now and again. Then there is the ink job. That is slightly understandable, but at the same time it is something "fresh". And The Joker would be one who may be too vain to get tattoos, but at the same time, he is narcissistic enough to get his "own" tattoos on himself. I wouldn't be shocked if we were to see a Batman logo inked on his back. It would actually "make sense" given his obsession with The Dark Knight.
And although there are still those who disliked Heath Ledger's rendition of The Joker, there were a massive amount of those who had to "eat crow" afterword. From his casting,  to how appeared in promo shots. Heath garnered the same amount of negativity. Sadly he wasn't alive to receive the Oscar, which he would've won regardless.

The funny thing is, while everyone argues over who was the better Joker, and where Leto's rendition will place him (even though we know nothing beyond one picture. one.) among them. Every incarnation of The Joker, even the apparent punk styling and likely "attitude", is actually a piece of who The Joker is. He's a variety of things, and is ever evolving. Just throwing that out there, even though I am sure many will rip both this article and Leto's Joker aha

DC COMICS TV-VERSE, WHO STILL NEEDS TO BE IN IT

With the movieverse (for DC Comics, as well as with Marvel), we focused slightly more on who has and is scheduled to appear on the big screen. Unlike with the movieverse, where everything is really still in the infancy stage, the "tv-verse" is new, but much more evolved and bigger. At the present time, there are 2 different worlds on television ("Arrow/The Flash" and "Gotham", with a possible third in production (Supergirl). We will be focusing on the bigger "Arrow/The Flash".

Although some fans and actors/actresses wanted "Arrow" and "The Flash" to be a part of the movieverse, it isn't how things turned out. That doesn't mean it will never happen, given that all these shows and movies are viewed by some as "multiverses", and comic book fans know that worlds can collide, and cross-overs can happen. But, even if it never happens, the tv-verse is strong enough to go it alone, and also has just as much room (if not more) to grow their ranks.

Aquaman

Aquaman is set to make his big screen debut via Jason Momoa, but for some, he still requires redemption on the small screen. It wasn't that his appearance within the "Smallville" tv-verse was horrible, but it wasn't near the standard set by not only fans, but the pages of the comic books.

Superman/Batman/Wonder Woman

Of all of the characters, these may be the hardest to procure the rights to or the allowance to have them appear in this tv-verse. It would help solidify things though having one of DC Comics "Big 3" make an appearance.

Martian Manhunter

Have yet to hear any reference to the character for the movieverse, so Mars last survivor may be available to shape-shift his way into the mix of things. Although it would be nice to see more of the alien form than the human this time around.

Wildcat

If the story in DC Comics movieverse is focusing on assembling the Justice League, perhaps the tv-verse could focus on bringing together the members of the Justice Society.

Hawkman and/or Hawkgirl

We saw Hawkman swoop into battle in the "Smallville" tv-verse, perhaps this time around we see Hawkgirl cracking skulls. Or better yet, both of them battling side-by-side. If anything, it would supply the season ending "death" for one or all of the shows.

Green Lantern (Alan Scott)

While Green Lantern fans await a member of the Corps to appear on the silver screen, perhaps the small screen could set the stage for the original (Golden Age) Green Lantern, Alan Scott.

A Top Villain

Yes, there has obviously been some of the top baddies within this tv-verse, but who among them is powerful enough to require all of the heroes (or a large group of them) to come together and fight them. Darkseid is the most obvious answer, but he might be in "protection mode" as DC Comics builds their movie-verse, with him being likely the one to require the Justice League to take him down. So, perhaps someone like Brainiac, Anti-Monitor or even maybe the Secret Society for this tv-verse.

There are of course an almost endless list of characters that "should" appear on any and all of the shows. Which at the moment may be "Arrow" and "The Flash", but there is also another spin-off in the works, so this universe is only going to get bigger. Leaving the only questions less as to whom will appear, but simply how they will be involved in this tv-verse.

DC COMICS MOVIEVERSE THUS FAR

Not much is really known about new DC Comics "movieverse" other than what we gathered from "Man Of Steel" back in 2013. We do know the projected film schedule, and what movies they plan to release. With films like "The Flash", "Suicide Squad" (currently being filmed), amongst others set to begin the filming process. But, things could change depending on how things go. We didn't get any real pictures or footage from the shooting of "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice", leaving the upcoming trailer to appease fans appetites. Other than studio released promotional shots, not much has been seen. The trailer will likely give us a hint at what we can expect.

The only thing we do know for sure is who is a part of the movieverse right now. We're still in the initial "phase" of things, but the cast of characters within this movieverse has grown a lot since "Man Of Steel". And will only get bigger, and could possibly change here and there as this massive plan goes on. There has even been a change where Tom Hardy was signed on to play Rick Flag in "Suicide Squad" but a scheduling conflict saw him drop out of the role. But, here is who we have for sure, at this point in time...

Superman/Kal El/Clark Kent

Henry Cavill will be returning for "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice". And it is somewhat fitting that "Man Of Steel" was the first installment in this movieverse. As it was Superman who launched the superhero genre in comic books. Hopefully the Reeves fans will finally embrace him.

Batman/Bruce Wayne

There hasn't been a casting choice, and likely won't again, in this movieverse that garnered such negativity. Hopefully Ben Affleck as Batman or Batfleck as he's been dubbed, not only delivers in this role, but causes the haters to jump on the Batwagon after all is said and done.

Wonder Woman/Princess Diana

While the net was ripping apart Bafleck based on past movies (Daredevil notably), Gal Gadot has been receiving negativity based on appearance alone. Which is sad. More so than Batfleck, here is hoping Gadot crushes her haters with an epic performance as Wonder Woman.

Aquaman/Arthur Curry

From the promotional photo, Momoa looks badass. Which is something Aquaman fans have been saying about Arthur Curry for years. Big screen, CGI effects, hopefully a great script, and the nay sayers may eat their words...with a trident.

Cyborg/Victor Stone

(Ray Fisher)

Not much is known about Fisher, with his acting resume being only stage performances. "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice" will be his big screen debut. And is expected to continue to portray Cyborg both in Justice League and solo films in the future. No worries though. Studio had to have seen something in him. Plus with the all-star cast he can only get better, and better.

Lois Lane

(Amy Adams)

With the exception of DC Comics "New 52" imprint/continuity, there almost can't be Superman without Lois Lane. Amy Adams returns to the character she played in "Man Of Steel". Hard not to wonder how Wonder Woman being added to the mix will affect Clark and Lois' relationship.

Martha Kent

(Diane Lane)

What was said about Lois, can almost be said for Martha Kent. Superman's one true attachment to earth is his mother (adoptive, but mother none the less). With more of a Justice League aspect to things, it will be interesting to see where Diane Lane fits into the thick of things.

Perry White

(Laurence Fishburne)

"Great Cesar's ghost!" Perry White and of course, The Daily Planet will be returning. Legendary Laurence Fishburne will once again lead the bullpen in "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice".

Alfred Pennyworth

(Jeremy Irons)

Alfred is Batman's Lois Lane in a sense, as you almost can't have Batman without an Alfred Pennyworth to be there to assist him. Jeremy Irons will be bringing the gentlemen butler to life in this movieverse. Already giving Batfleck doubters some sense of reassurance.

Lex Luthor

(Jesse Eisenberg)

With names like Bryan Cranston, Mark Strong, etc being the majorities favorites to play Lex Luthor in DC Comics movieverse, Jesse Eisenbergs being chosen was initially met with criticism. Not Batfleck level, but it was there. Luckily that faded quick as people remembered Eisenberg's past roles showed he was a good choice.

The Joker

Although there wasn't really any negativity around this casting choice, not to the level of what Heath Ledger had faced when the late actor was tapped to play The Joker in "The Dark Knight". Was Ledger's Oscar winning performance the reason fans didn't flip? Is it Leto himself? Or is it that "Suicide Squad" is a villain centered team/film?

Harley Quinn/Harleen Quinzel

Of all of the members of the cast for "Suicide Squad", Margot Robbie may have the biggest challenge. Sure, she has the look to play Harley Quinn. But, almost every fan will be judging her based on her voice. Hopefully, fans will be okay for a similar sound but superior performance.

Deadshot/Floyd Lawton

(Will Smth)

Not as big as he "was", but Will Smith is one of the biggest stars in this movieverse. Smith will be bringing the sharpshooting villain, Deadshot, to life. Given his star power, will we see...Will in other DC Comics movieverse films? Another "Suicide Squad", or a Batfleck film?

Killer Croc/Waylon Jones

Although some say that Adewale will actually play King Shark (understandably as he is a usual member of Task Force X aka Suicide Squad), majority of the reports say Croc. With him being a member of Batman's rogues gallery, will we see Waylon Jones/Killer Croc in Batflecks Gotham?

Captain Boomerang/ George "Digger" Harkness

Obviously Australian Captain Boomerang will be brought to life by an Aussie. Before he becomes Kyle Reese in "Terminator Genisys", Jai Courtney will be throwing boomerangs in "Suicide Squad".

Enchantress/June Moone

(Cara Delevingne)

It would appear that there will be a touch of magic in "Suicide Squad". Cara Delevingne will be casting spells as Enchantress. Does this mean that "Suicide Squad" could give us a taste of what could be in "Justice League Dark"?

Rick Flag

Basically a leader on the field. Waller calls the shots from afar, Rick Flag sees to it that orders are carried out while working along side Task Force X. Will this be the role Joel Kinnaman (originally Tom Hardy) will portray in "Suicide Squad"?

Amanda Waller

Someone needs to tell the Task Force X or "Suicide Squad" what to do. Viola Davis  brings her stage, television, and film experience to the role of Amanda Waller.

Black Adam

(Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson)

Although The Rock has stated this isn't in the same movieverse, some have said DC looks at all of this as their live action multiverse. That being said, who's to say that The Rock won't be bringing Black Adam into THIS movieverse at some point.

Shazam!/Bill Batson

The only thing we know about any of this is that The Rock signed on to play Black Adam. So, although we don't know who will play Shazam! (formerly Captain Marvel), we do know that he will obviously be here. And like stated before, maybe one day Shazam! will be apart of the movieverse this article is focused on.


That is just so far. "Suicide Squad" alone recently posted a group picture on Twitter. While there were the cast members listed above, there are some other actors in the photo. Who they will be playing in "Suicide Squad" has yet to be clarified. There are also the planned films who's rosters have yet to be cast. With there still being almost a year until "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice" hits theatres, and "Suicide Squad" is currently filming in Toronto, we are in "wait and see" mode. But, this is what we have so far, and of course this list will grow, and possibly change as time goes on.

DC COMICS ROLLING DICE WITH MOVIEVERSE?

Usually a positive tone is kept around here, well there is a strong attempt to do so. And of course, one of the millions looking forward to all of this happening. However, it is hard not to "think" and "worry". Why? It's been 2 years since "Man Of Steel", and we are still a year away from "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice". That's quite a gap in between films from the same "story/universe", and that is a lot of time to think about things, and worry about what could go wrong. The main thing that crosses the thought process is this....what if "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice" flops? What will happen then?

DC Comics had put out more, and mainly better received, films in the late 70's to late 90's. That was only Batman and Superman franchises (we'll lop "Supergirl" in with her cousin since they were the same universe) though. Marvel took over after the new millennium, with their characters in more movies and DC only had Batman mainly (one shots from Supes and Green Lantern as well). Here we are in 2015, and beginning next year DC Comics movie schedule is set to explode with there being movies every year for at least the following five years or so. This has fans frothing in anticipation. Understandably, things are starting off with "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice" which has drawing power alone with just Batman versus Superman. This is where the doubt begins to creep in. The movie will also include Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, even Lex Luthor. That is a lot of characters, and their success will effect the movies that are slated to follow. If the movie fails, what happens to the schedule? Will it remain the same, with tweeks and whatnot made along the way in making the films? Are the actors and actresses "locked in" already? Even "Suicide Squad" comes out the same year, and also holds quite a few characters, although this movies success doesn't really effect the planned movieverse, or not as much as "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice" does. Or will everything be scraped and revamped? For once that might be a longer shot of happening than usual. DC Comics (WB) appears to have invested a lot into this, and with the massive schedule, very confident. It will all depend on how well or how bad "Batman VS Superman: Dawn Of Justice" does. If we're talking "Water World" bad, then a revamp in some aspect is very possible. Hopefully there aren't any changes to the cast after the fact. Reception, scheduling, interest, etc. We don't want a Norton/Hulk thing to happen here.

With about a year to go still, everything is still in wait and see mode. And perception of how things will turn out will change as more of the film is revealed (trailer is heavily rumored to debut in "Mad Max: Fury Road" next month). It would be nice however, if people across the web would focus more on how the story and acting will be, and not an actor/actresses appearance. Okay, back to waiting...

JARED LETO REPORTEDLY UP FOR ROLE OF THE JOKER

It is being reported that Jared Leto is the front runner for the role of The Joker in the future Suicide Squad movie. One could assume that it is almost a for sure thing, with IGN and even DC Comics themselves reporting on the Oscar winner being up for the role. Of course this is Hollywood after all, and anything can happen.

Initial thought was that DC Comics and Warner Bros. is really pushing the "wait and see" button with their new movieverse. Majority of the nerd world unleashed hell after Ben Affleck was cast as Batman. General opinion was that Gal Gadot wouldn't be a good Wonder Woman. And although there wasn't much noise, it would be safe to assume that there are haters of other casting choices (with the exception of The Rock as Black Adam). Nobody knows if these were the right choices, just as much as noone knowing if they were the wrong choices. Even though there are still those who still dislike them, but Michael Keaton and Heath Ledger both proved the doubters wrong. With box-office numbers at least, for those who dislike their interpretations of Batman and The Joker.

Wait and see. That is what we'll be doing with everything. From the upcoming movies, to even whether or not Jared Leto will be giving us his rendition of the Clown Prince Of Crime. Which again is supposedly Suicide Squad. If he does, first question everyone will ask, is when will we see Affleck's Batman and Leto's Joker share the big screen.

SHAZAM! NOT PART OF MOS MOVIEVERSE, AND THAT'S OKAY

Initially, disappointment set in. How could they not have "Shazam!" in the same universe as "Man Of Steel", and the upcoming "Batman Vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice"? Was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson wrong, and it will be? Yes, and no. Sure he is right in that it would be a seperate world from that of Zach Snyder's. However, recently Geoff John's from DC Comics had stated that they consider the movies and television shows as a multiverse. That is where the disappointment dissipates.

Just because The Rock says know your role (couldn't resist), but just because he says they are different worlds, doesn't mean that there isn't a possibility of a massive cross-over film. It also doesn't mean that the stories although different in both style and tone, won't be similar in the direction that they take. Perhaps they all lead into a massive multiverse cross-over, with say Darkseid as the main villain.
Perhaps not though. It does allow "Shazam!" free reign to go where they want, which will be good as there will likely be immediate comparisons with Superman. But, that will likely always be the case. And it should be that way really. Also with the freedom to go their own route, comes the ability to also return to when Shazam (then known as Captain Marvel) not only went head to head with Superman in sales, but he surpassed the original superhero at one point.

We are getting pretty far ahead of ourselves with all of this really. We still need the lead character of both Billy Batson and Shazam to be cast. The Rock will be filling the role (and hopefully...knowing his role *ahem*) that fans had him pegged for when he first crossed over from the wrestling ring to the big screen. The role of Black Adam.

GOTHAM INCLUDING ALL MYTHOS

WARNING! MINOR SPOILERS BELOW! READ AT OWN RISK! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

 

 

The story itself will be original in itself, but will obviously have a heavy comic book reference. Both a unique take on a story that has been told, and also straight from the pages type situations. As we saw last night, the inspiration for the script doesn't stop with the comic books. With the city looking to reopen Arkham Asylum, or a updated version of it, we saw a "Batman: Arkham City" video game reference with one of the plans. One of the plans is to burn down the asylum, and build a "city", Arkham City.

Likely will be nothing more than a story plot to rival the reopening of Arkham Asylum, making for some action packed conflict. And I say this, as on a visual level for now, Arkham Asylum looked absolutely amazing last night on "Gotham". Especially at night. It makes for a perfect location to shoot scenes that require a certain level of darkness, or creepiness. And this is just the exterior. I can imagine what could be created for within the walls of the madhouse. Which could also make for a perfect setting to develop other characters, and most notably the villains. Why not have Jonathan Crane aka The Scarecrow make his debut as a doctor at the newly opened Arkham Asylum? Where he begins his fear experiments? Have Arkham Asylum be responsible for creating the "monsters" that will eventually signal the need for Batman. Or at least have them ready to go once Bats takes down the mob.

Or will we see Arkham City come to be? Regardless, it will be quite interesting to see what else "Gotham" chooses to sample from or give a nod to in future episodes. With the series understandably getting signed on for a full season, we'll actually get to see how things play out. And as an initial anti-Gotham person, I am looking forward to how they keep me from missing Batman. Which they continued to do last night.

CONNECTING GOTHAM WITH ARROW/FLASH

Now before you say it, I am well aware that the chances of this happening is pretty slim to none. However, both Ben Mackenzie (James Gordon-Gotham) and Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen-Arrow) have said that they would welcome the union. So, let's "pretend" that FOX and The CW are willing and that this going to happen. When I first heard reference of this idea, I scoffed at it. I did not expect to enjoy "Gotham" as much as I have, and did not think that these worlds should be connected. I wasn't able to wrap my head around the idea of Bruce Wayne being so much younger than the rest of the characters involved. Would Oliver Queen begin to train Bruce? That would be lame. And would definitely take away from the Batman character later on. And we've seen some of Batman's foes appear already in "Arrow". We can't have Harley Quinn being old enough to be Batman's mother now, can we?

So, in my head there is 1-2 options. One really, but how things are approached are different. First, lets bring "Gotham" into "Arrow/Flash". Here I would only have a select few characters appear from the FOX series. Characters that will still be around once Batman has come to be, unless they get "Smallvilled" (ie Jimmy Olsen). Since we are only at the start of the series, I would have Jim Gordon, Harvey Bullock, and Oswald Cobblepot. And I would have them all sit in the make-up chair for an extra few moments, and age them. Bring them into the present where we already have Batman protecting Gotham City. Gordon can be white-haired and sporting the trademark mustache. Bullock...more grey and white, and some added weight perhaps. And with Oswald, full-fledged Penguin. It wouldn't be a "spoiler" as things can change as people forget. It would take around 10 seasons on "Gotham". The basis of the story would be pretty obvious, Gordon and Bullock follow The Penguin, meet Oliver, etc etc. Ending with Arrow having the Gothamites pass on a message to Batman.
Same idea really, but in a different approach. Bringing "Arrow" and "The Flash" into "Gotham" would be a reverse effect, with core characters appearing, but along side their younger selves. Meaning Oliver (Stephen Amell) would say play his father as he brings a young Oliver Queen to visit Bruce Wayne. Perhaps Felicity as Oliver's mother, the late Moira Queen. Storyline would have perhaps Falcone or Maroni's men kidnapping Bruce and Oliver, with Jim Gordon working with The Queens, and we'll say Barry Allen aka The Flash playing his uncle (who is a cop in Gotham City for the sake of this) to rescue the boys. It would be a little more trickier to make it work without being too cheesy. Actually, The Flash could technically appear as himself I suppose.

Basic ideas for something likely never to happen. I can't think of any other way that they could make this work. Among a large list of characters, Batman is one of the heavy favorites that fans hope to see in "Arrow/Flash" universe someday. Especially given the lack there of in "Smallville", and that it has been said that they are building their own Justice League in the "Arrow/Flash" universe. Full-grown, butt-kicking Batman is a must. To be honest, I will see how the soon-to-be crossover between "Arrow" and "The Flash" works out first, as well as how long "Gotham" can keep me intrigued with out the goddamn Batman.

!MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZ

As we saw in the pilot episode of The CW's "The Flash", Professor Zoom aka Reverse Flash is in this universe, and responsible for the murder of Barry Allen's mother. And as is always the case with the internet and social media, there's pictures! Photos of the filming show Reverse Flash in full costume, and getting the upper hand on the Scarlet Speedster. Rick Cosnett (from other CW franchises), is the man in the garb. How well he performs remains to be seen, but on a visual level, looks better than The Flash himself costume wise. Along side the casting of Professor Zoom/Reverse Flash, was the addition of Killer Frost. Who will be played by Danielle Panabaker (another CW regular). No stills of her yet, but if the pilot and the photos above leaves me not only worry free, but quite intrigued.

ARROW HITS ITS MARK ONCE AGAIN

CONTAINS SPOILERS! BEEN WARNED!

 

After being impressed by the series debuts of "Gotham" and "The Flash", I did have high expectations for the Season 3 premiere of "Arrow". Going in I knew that Roy Harper would be joining the team in a masked manner, inching closer to becoming either Speedy, Red Arrow or Arsenal (I am leaning on it being Speedy after something happens to Thea). I knew that Brandon Routh would be joining the cast, and eventually becoming The Atom. And at some point this season, we will possibly/likely see Ra's al Ghul make an appearance.

The high expectations were not only met, but actually surpassed. The  story was pretty solid, and exploring new areas. I am sure fans have been begging for some romance between Oliver and Felicity, and they finally got that. It was "explosive" and although seems to be short-lived, it makes for some possible hilarious awkward moments. Diggle is now a daddy, having a child with his...ex-wife who is now his girlfriend...and looks to be stepping away from the game. Although that isn't something that will last I am sure, it is more of a matter of what causes Diggs to return to action.
Brandon Routh made his debut, playing Ray Palmer who is looking to buy Queens Industries and came packed with the tech and confidence to do so. Be interesting to watch his character develop, as well as a possible relationship with Ms. Smoke, making for more awkward moments with Oliver. There is also Roy Harper and his story. His beginnings as a vigilante, as well as dealing with Thea leaving. Although I will have to admit, the whole suit looks fine, except his mask. Not quite sure what it is, but the mask doesn't suit him like it does with Arrow. And then finally, expectations were surpassed in a shocking way. With the show ending with the killing of Canary aka Sara Lance. Which looked pretty awesome if I must say, the overall action has stepped up this season. This leaves the door wise open with not only how Oliver, Laurel, and company deal with the sudden loss, but this is also an opportunity for Laurel to begin her journey to becoming Black Canary.

In a nutshell, the premiere was amazing on all levels, and has left me very intrigued on how the rest of the season will play out. I also loved Barry Allen making his appearance, tying "The Flash" and "Arrow" together on this side of things. Which is also another huge thing that I am looking forward to, and that is the possibly epic cross-overs that will occur between the two shows. Two shows that have started the 2014-2015 season of very strong.

ROCK IS BLACK ADAM, BUT WHO IS SHAZAM?

It was a casting that was actually thought of years ago, when Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was still a full-time wrestler and a rookie in the movie business. But, we now have The Rock playing the part of Black Adam in the future Shazam (Captain Marvel for those still unwilling to call him by his new name) movie that will be a part of DC Comics movieverse. So, now we are left with the question, who's going to play Shazam?

Before it became official, The Rock did give a clue as to who he was playing by saying "Shazam" (which is also the word used by both Adam and Shazam to summon their powers). With most of us knowing that likely meant he was playing Black Adam, given his personality and acting ability The Rock would've also made a great Shazam as well. At first, I was thinking it would have to be an actor with big muscles and all of that, but then remembered what Zack Snyder has done with Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and how it can really be any actor who could. They not be able to bulk up to the size of The Rock (who can also tone down), but they can simply bulk up and rely of their acting ability.

The person would have to be able to almost portray a man-child, as Shazam is still a kid named Billy Baston using magic to basically look like Superman (Fun fact: Captain Marvel was out selling Superman at one point in the golden days of comics). They also should have a slight youthfulness to their appearance. Top of my head there is only one name that comes to mind. Someone who I didn't think I would ever want, nor think should belong in a comic book movie. Although he can be quite funny at times in comedies, he tends to be the preference of our wives, girlfriends, and partners. That being Channing Tatum. He almost seems perfect for the role. He can add that needed immaturity to the role, he has that youthful look I referenced. And he is capable to add the required muscle mass as well. Over time I am sure more names could pop into my head, but for now this is who I would go with. If anything, he could add those "Twilight Numbers" (young women audiences) to the box office. Plus, remember what the late Heath Ledger did with the role of The Joker in The Dark Knight. Who's to say Tatum couldn't make this epic? Stay Nerdy!

FILLING OUT THE LEAGUE

With Hollywood it is never safe to assume that a film will be successful despite who is starring in it, who is directing and thinking that a sequel will be good because the first one was amazing. It isn't even safe to assume that others will like the movie that you do, which if the numbers are high enough, kill the franchise. Comic Book and superhero movies are no exception. Daredevil (2003), Green Lantern (2011), etc. However, for this article we will pretend that the follow-up movie to Man Of Steel (2013), which has many possible names so far (Man Of Steel 2? Superman Vs Batman? etc) will be a success and that Justice League soon to follow.
The original three are set and cast. Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and Ben Affleck as Batman. Of course there are other characters that already or are set to exist within this movieverse, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth. Obviously can't forget to mention Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. There is also a big star who has signed on to appear as a character from the DC Universe. That star being The Rock. Here we will focus on the members of the League that should and could appear in the highly anticipated Justice League movie. We're also going to assume that the universe that exists in the Arrow and The Flash on The CW, as well FOX's Gotham are not a part of the movieverse.

Cyborg

The Rock was the aforementioned star that is set to appear as a DC Comics character. He hasn't said anything more than that the character has never appeared in live action before, has a deep story character wise, and is bad ass. Being a former football player (before his days in the squared circle) it would be easy in a way for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to relate to the character of Vic Stone. Also, with his wrestling background and as well as his fathers, he can somewhat relate to his father and himself as a father being "too busy" at times. Of course, The People's Champion could play the part of other characters like Lobo perhaps as some other sites have pointed to. Regardless of who plays the role, Cyborg is definitely a character that should appear in Justice League.

Green Lantern

Which Green Lantern of Sector 2814? Not quite sure. All of them really, but for Justice League it needs to be one. Who then spins-off into his own series of films where we are introduced to the other Lanterns. Hal Jordan would be most obvious, and also the one who needs redemption in some fans eyes. Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner fans are likely hoping to see him appear. John Stewart is there for perhaps The Rock to play having not appeared before, as well as another opportunity to a character of color make their big screen debuts. There is even the newest (Simon Baz)) and the original Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner) who could fill the role. Hal Jordan may be the choice, again to erase Green Lantern (2011) as well as the best buds relationship with...

Aquaman

CGI capabilities available nowadays say that it is time. In the past it made sense for Arthur Curry to not appear on the big screen. Smallville made him fit into their universe, but Aquaman in a movie role needs more than the ability to swim and communicate with fish.Now is the time to put that standard Aquaman summoning a massive Shark or Whale panel into a live action sequence. As part of the Justice League, it also takes away the pressure of carrying a solo film. Give the audience a taste of what could be, see how they respond (obviously the overall opinion, as there will be the typical haters picking the performance apart), and then proceed from there.Marvel has shown that characters like Aquaman and the upcoming Wonder Woman with their Thor franchise. One can almost envision Aquaman fitting perfectly within the universe created by Zack Snyder with Man Of Steel.

Martian Manhunter

If not as a member of the Justice League, then at least within this new movieverse. J'onn J'onzz would add to the alien tone, with Superman looking human and all. Of course Martian Manhunter would make use of his shape shifting powers, but would keep with his alien form most of the time. Especially with us only getting a very brief glimpse of the character in his natural form on the former television series, Smallville.

The Flash

With the television universe having an upcoming Arrow spin-off in The Flash with Grant Gustin playing Barry Allen, there is a chance that at some point we will have 2 scarlet speedsters in live action form. Now this is assuming that the television series is a success and is still on the air when Justice League happens mind you. This adds to the debate that will likely occur amongst the fans, for the movie, Barry Allen? Or Wally West? DC related things aren't keen on having multiple live action versions appearing at the same time. It was the given reason for Batman not appearing in Smallville. You may be saying Smallville and Superman Returns (2006). Smallville wasn't technically about Superman as it was more focused on Clark Kent. Small loop hole perhaps. Jay Garrick fans don't worry, you weren't forgotten. There is even a chance that the original Flash will appear in Justice League if The Flash on The CW is still running. Whomever plays the part, it is a role that needs to appear, if not to simply compete with Marvel who are set to have 2 different Quicksilver's appear in Avengers: Age Of Ultron and X-Men: Days Of Future Past.

Those are likely on everyone's "obviously list", but with basically only Batman and Superman, and one time with Green Lantern, getting time on the big screen it is better to stick with the traditional model of the team. It also won't alienate any new comic book readers that the film(s) may garner too much, by sticking with what was the Justice League roster within the New 52.
