COMIC-CON HAD A PRETTY MASSIVE DAY

Things being revealed at San Diego Comic-Con is almost traditional, this year the live action comic book worlds joined Star Wars Ep. VII The Force Awakens in stealing the spotlight today. Perhaps the reason why Marvel Studios opted to not really join in, given the size of reveals and what not from FOX owned titles Deadpool, X-Men: Apocalypse, and Fantastic 4. And of course there was the Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer being revealed (which you can find HERE), and the television series (Arrow, The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, Supergirl, and Gotham) panels and news.

There was a massive panel with Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse stars (as well as a selfie). Where we see Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, a bald James McAvoy, and joining the cast (most notably) Channing Tatum. As well as some trailers, which are only in "pirate" form at the moment from what I've seen. Can't wait to see either films trailer. From the X-Men: Apocalypse things I have seen, there is a young Storm rocking a classic mohawk.
Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice as mentioned dropped their trailer onto the world, and it didn't disappoint. You see for yourself...HERE  Director Zack Snyder arrived to the event in the films Batmobile.
DC Comics television worlds were a mix of panels, trailers, as well as some "breaking news" in terms of some castings. We see that both Arrow (perhaps now Green Arrow?) and The Flash will be sporting new costumes. Casting news saw Peter Facinelli joining Supergirl as Maxwell Lord, with Shantel VanStanten as Patty Spivot and Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick speeding into The Flash universe. An answer to the helmet we see near the end of season 1.
Will try to post the other trailers when they are the "official" footage. Might as well watch it the "proper" way. Easier to pick up on things visually and by sound that way. As well as some of the news surrounding most of these shows as they are gathered.

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE TRAILER

It has been spreading like wildfire, as will the other trailers released at this years San Diego Comic-Con. But, here is the trailer for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. And it is even better than the teaser released awhile back...

Things are looking mighty good. There will likely be the traditional haters, but when have we ever truly cared what they thought? They hate for the sake of hating. Personally, went from "wait and see" to immediate anticipation. DC Comics Cinematic Universe (movieverse) is starting to look epic.

COMIC-CON HARD TO BEAT THIS YEAR

No, unfortunately not one of the thousands lucky enough to attend this years Comic-Con in San Diego. Simply one of the millions catching the news and footage released upon the internet. One day it would be nice to be able to attend, but would it be as awesome as this year has appeared to be? The panels, signings, etc this year include some legendary greatness. Star Wars Ep. VII: The Force Awakens brought Luke, Han, and Leia aka Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, and Carrie Price to the world. Sure, they may have been in and out of Cons for years, but when was the last time they were all together, promoting a "new" movie? Even more so, when will we see this again? Hopefully for years to come, but life is always that proverbial biatch.
As a comic book nerd, this year looks amazing given the things involving Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. The panels, the signings, and of course the release of the trailer. Which looks even better than the teaser that proceeded it. Personally it is the best thing to come out of this weekend. Take a look below and see why...

There is also other comic book movies making appearances this weekend. Deadpool and Suicide Squad are set to hit theaters in 2016 along side Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Then there is the television side of things with Arrow, The Flash, and Legends Of Tomorrow. That is just the tip of the iceberg really, tons of other panels, signings, appearances, and whatnot from a variety of genres in plenty of forms of entertainment.Video games, Wrestling, toys, apparel. Nerdvana would be more apt. One day. One day.

BATFLECK SET FOR SOLO VENTURE

It isn't in the "news" category, as it was expected as Ben Affleck had signed on for multiple films. To star and direct. For some, the initial thought might have been him involved with only Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, and the "Justice League" follow-ups. It was just hard to imagine DC Comics and WB finally creating and expanding a movieverse, and not including the goddamn Batman.
Now that it is almost guaranteed (remember, Batman V Superman could bomb changing things drastically) we can begin to wonder how things will be approached. Many question immediately come to mind, and am sure that more will arise as things progress.

First question is of course, which Batman will we be seeing? The "older" version we are set to see in "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice"? Or will Batfleck go sans grey and we see a younger Batman in Gotham? Preferably, would like to see a younger version defeating a variety of villains.

Which quickly brings us to the next question, will we see The Joker (Jared Leto) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) making appearances? We do know that Batman will make an appearance in "Suicide Squad" where Mr. J and Harley will be starring alongside other Batman foes like Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Deadshot (Will Smith). A new Batman, a new Joker, and now three new characters shows there is willingness to test new ground. Bane got his redemption with "The Dark Knight Rises", perhaps now Mr. Freeze can as well.

And then there is the questions of co-stars on the hero side of things. Will we see any version of Robin appear in this? And if there were a Robin, which on would it be? Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, or Damian Wayne? Or would it be a female like Carrie Kelley? Speaking of females, would Batgirl make an appearance, and of course which one? Would Barbara Gordon take on the mantle, or would she be Oracle, or would she even appear at all? And what of Jim Gordon, as there are rumors that he is "dead" in "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice", will he appear in a solo Batman film? Who would play him? since we didn't get him as Lex Luthor, perhaps Brian Cranston could fill the void.

There of course will be two new questions for every one that gets answered as time goes on. This are simply what immedietly comes to mind. Can't wait to see it all play out....here's hoping "Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice" doesn't suck.

DVR/PVR GETTING A WORKOUT

Sure, everyone's DVR/PVR has been used for anything and everything they like. But, for the "comic book" centric, it is about to get bigger. Of course, it depends on peoples preferences as always. However, starting next season there is an abundance to pick from and thus far, everything has been top notch or close to it.

Returning will be "Arrow", "The Flash", "Gotham", "iZombie", "Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.", "Marvel's Agent Carter", and "The Walking Dead". There is even rumors of other networks bringing "Constantine" back for a second season, after being cancelled by NBC. Even without it, there are seven comic book shows thus far, and things get bigger with the new additions.
"Supergirl" will be debuting next season. Although it is on CBS, it does share a connection with The CW's "Arrow" and "The Flash" via producer Greg Berlanti. Who has even hinted at the worlds be connected and possibly have cross-overs.
With or without her, the "Arrow" and "The Flash" world grows through The CW's "Legends Of Tomorrow". Where we will see a line-up of characters both returning (The Atom & Firestorm), debuting (Hawkgirl), and a mix of the two (White Canary). Looking forward to it, but there is the thought of possibly doing "too much" and if one fails will there be a domino effect?
FOX will be adding to their line-up with "Lucifer" from DC Comic Imprint Vertigo's "Sandman".
"The Walking Dead" universe is expanding as well with "Fear The Walking Dead". It will be interesting to see if AMC can recreate the success with this one.
Netflix has also entered the fray, although not everyone has it, "Daredevil" was a success and returning for another season, and "The Punisher" set to debut on the show. Show wise, "Iron Fist", "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones", and "Marvel's The Defenders" confirmed to be joining their ranks.

There is also a long list of shows that are in the pilot and developmental phases. Meaning things are set to get even bigger in the future. So, no matter how you go about watching them it will be a marathon of sorts. Personally, looking at a minimum of seven shows alone. Family life, work alone makes this a task. Especially when adding WWE and another upcoming "Comic Book Movie Boom" (with DC Comics finally joining the race). And of course, lets not forget reading the comic books for which these shows and movies are based on. Whoever created DVR/PVR's.....THANK YOU!!!!
